Terms of service

Last changed 2026-08-27

These are the rules for using Library Mode (the website at librarymo.de and the librarymode tool), run by The Digital Ad Lab ("we"). By creating an account you agree to them. We've kept them short and readable on purpose.

1. Your account

You need to be 16 or older. Keep your email account safe: anyone who can read your email can sign in as you. You're responsible for what happens under your account and on computers you've connected.

2. Your work stays yours

You own everything you save. We claim no rights to it. You give us only the permission we need to store it, back it up, show it to you, and — if you make a project public — show it to others and let them download or copy it. If you make a project public, you're telling others they may download it and make their own copy; choose a licence in your project's About text if you want to set conditions.

3. What you may not do

  • Store or share anything illegal, or anything you don't have the right to share.
  • Store malware, or use the service to attack anyone or anything.
  • Try to get around the plan limits, break into other accounts, or overload the service.
  • Use the service to send spam or to harass people.

If you do, we may make a project private, suspend the account, or close it. We'll tell you why unless the law prevents it.

4. Plans and payment

The free plan is free. Plus costs $5 a month or $50 a year, charged in advance through Stripe, and renews automatically until you cancel in Settings. Cancelling stops future charges; the current period runs to its end. If we ever change prices we'll email you at least 30 days before your next renewal. Within 14 days of a payment, you can ask for a full refund.

5. Keeping the service running

We work hard to keep Library Mode available and to keep backups, but we can't promise it will never go down or that nothing will ever be lost. Please keep your own copies of anything you can't afford to lose — a zip download takes a click.

6. Ending things

You can delete projects or your whole account at any time (see Privacy). We may close the service itself, in which case we'll give at least 90 days' notice and keep downloads working until the end.

7. Our liability

To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect losses — lost profits, lost data you didn't keep a copy of, and the like — and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for fraud or for death or injury caused by negligence.

8. The legal bits

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, and disputes go to its courts — unless you're a consumer somewhere whose law gives you the right to your local courts and protections, in which case those apply. If part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll email account holders before it takes effect.
